CCES Lost and Found - Items will be donated on Friday, 11/17

To our CCES Families: We have stored an abundance of lost coats, hats, shirts and sweatshirts along with lunchboxes and water bottles.  If there was a name in or on it, we have returned it to its rightful owner.  Our lost and found has been in the main hallway during Parent Conferences and our Book Fair for all to see.  This Friday, all clothes will be donated to Purple Heart as we do each Marking Period.  We do not have enough storage to hold all the clothing that continues to be unclaimed even though we show the item each morning on CCNN, we send reminders out and we have a “Lost and Found” notice on our front hallway TV.  If your child has lost an item, please come look before Friday at dismissal.  We will pack it up, donate it and return our Lost and Found to its original place near the cafeteria on the first floor.  Hope all is claimed.  Thank you.

Updated After School Dismissal Procedures

Parents: Due to safety and security issues of our After School Program students, there will be an immediate change in dismissal procedures starting Wednesday, November 15, 2017.  All students who ride the Activity bus on Tuesday and Thursdays will be the only ones exiting the “3rd Grade Door” next to the flag pool.  ALL OTHER STUDENTS including walkers and car riders will exit the door on Hillcrest Drive.  Parents should pull all the way up on our car pickup lane and wait for your child to exit.  You may also park in the neighborhood and walk to the Hillcrest door and wait for your child for pick up.  There will be NO STUDENTS exiting the front door.  There will be NO parents parking in the bus lane!  There will be NO parents parking in the staff parking lot except those with a HANDICAP STICKER.  We have seen children dart across the parking lot at the urging of an adult just missing getting hit by a backing out car.  Our bus was five minutes late leaving because two cars were parked in front of the bus without any driver in it.  We saw parents stop on Rosemary Circle and urging their child to run into the street and jump into the car with cars beeping behind them.  We cannot take any more chances with our children’s safety.  Please remember, it could be your child that gets hit!  Drive safe every day!                                                 Jody L.
