Parents are invited to learn more about the new Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessments at a special event at Gaithersburg High School on Monday, November 24 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by MCPS, MCCPTA, and the Montgomery County NAACP Parents' Council.
Please read the attached information sheet about the 2015 - 2016 MCPS calendar.
In order to ensure a safe, productive and positive learning environment, MCPS publishes two documents that help students, parents and staff understand school rules and regulations; expectations for student conduct, and possible consequences for violating the rules.
Parents: If you have questions about the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessments and Common Core State Standards, you won’t want to miss upcoming PARCC nights.
As October comes to a close, we wanted to take a minute and
thank our families for all your support and patience – especially after our
field trips yesterday. Roads were clogged and stress levels ran
high. The most important outcome yesterday was that everyone – students and
families – were safe. In times of stress, we have to remind ourselves
that our children take their cues from us, and occasions like these can be our
best teachable moments. We can acknowledge our feelings of frustration and
anger, but also show our children how to treat others respectfully –
always. Have a safe Halloween!
The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services will conduct a free flu vaccine clinic for students enrolled at CCES on November 11, 2014 from 12:45 to 2:45 p.m. For details, please read the attached letter.
With the installation of the third playset at the lower point, students are enjoying three new playground sets as well as chess/checker tables and small group seating on CCES' new playground. Check out these photos!
Please donate gently worn shoes to the shoe collection drive sponsored by CCES 6th graders.
