Fire Up your Feet Challenge starts May 1st, 2016!
Ms. Robinson has signed up our school to participate in this challenge. Won't you log on and record your families physical activities for the month of May? Students who get at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day are fitter, healthier, and have better focus in class, studies find. The Fire Up Your Feet Activity Challenge is a program that offers new opportunities for physical activity before, during and after school for students and families. Participating in the challenge is easy, simply log any type of physical activity: yoga, gardening, P.E., dance, biking, walking, anything active! This spring, K-8 schools can win cash awards to support physical activity and health programs.
Parents, guardians and school staff can sign up for the free program at
. Awards are based on the percentage of participation at your school, so the more people who sign up and track, the better your chances of earning awards!
Challenge Awards help to support walking school bus or bike train programs, the purchase of bike racks, incentives for walking and biking, traffic safety measures, and much more.
