Francis Scott Key Middle School
An International Baccalaureate World School
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Students in Ms. Hawkins and Ms. Johnson's Algebra Prep classes were having a fun day working on Pi activities.
Middle Years Programme (MYP)
The Middle Years Programme is one of three programmes offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
MYP is a flexible instructional framework that encourages students to become critical thinkers, life-long learners, and responsible global citizens. We offer the IB Middle Years Programme to all students in grades 6-8.
