8th Grade Cruise

Name: Spirit of Baltimore Cruise in Baltimore, MD
Departure Time: 9:30 am Return Time: 2:00 pm  

Note: These are times departing to and from LPMS. Student will arrive and leave school at the regular times and should use their typical form of transportation to and from school on this day.

Permission slip packets were sent home with all 8th-grade students  in their 8th-period classes on April 5th. If students were absent, additional copies will be in the main office. Please note the following:

  • The front page of the packet provides details about the trip. This yours to keep. Please do not return it.
  • The permission slip and contract (2nd page of packet should be signed and returned to your child's 8th-period teacher. 
  • Students who require medicine should complete and return the last page of the packet with their permission slip. This form is not required unless medications are needed for your child.
  • Payment is due by May 17th. We encourage you to pay at School Cash Online (see resources at bottom of this page)  or students can bring cash/check to Dr. Hassell during lunchtime in Room 158 on Mondays and Thursdays ONLY.  
  • No student should be deprived of this experience for monetary reasons.  If the fee imposes a financial hardship, arrangements can be made. Partial payment should be made if possible. To request a full or partial waiver, please submit a written request to Ms. Nero and Dr. Hassell by May 17th. Requests will be kept confidential.

8th Grade Celebration

When:  June 11th, 5:00-7:30 pm   (June 12th is the rain date)  

Where:  LPMS Cafeteria, Gyms, Atrium, and Fields           Cost:  Free

What:  An opportunity to receive a certificate and cross the stage in the cafeteria throughout the evening, organized alphabetically. Eighth grade families and friends enjoy cake, lemonade, and fun. Multiple locations for photo opportunities.  The PTSA is sponsoring the event and is working to provide games/entertainment.  

Who:   Eighth-grade students and their families.
