exchanging information and addressing matters of mutual concern cooperatively among the
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), the Montgomery County Department of Police
(MCPD), and the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office (SAD) to maintain and to
enhance a safe learning and working environment for students and staff. |

mission of the Department of School Safety and Security
(DSSS) is to ensure a safe and secure environment
essential to accomplishing the Success for Every
Student Plan through committed staff using a combination
of current technology, applied skills in the safety
and security field, and specific expertise.

The Department of School Safety and Security will conduct
three-hour sessions of crisis prepardness training for school administrators and members of the on-site emergency teams. Online advance registration is available via the MCPS Professional Development Online (PDO) system. |
