We at Northwood, as a diverse community, aspire to participate productively in a global society, commit fully to high academic achievement, and become models of leadership, strength and success.
Mission
Northwood’s mission is to ensure that ALL students have the opportunity to succeed in a rigorous curriculum, including the completion of a learning experience in a college-level environment.
Announcements & News
School Closed on February 8 and February 9

Montgomery County Public Schools are closed on Monday, February 8, and Tuesday, February 9, due to emergency weather conditions. All school and community activities in school buildings are canceled. Administrative Offices are closed Monday, February 8.

Mrs. Harris Moves Into Role of Acting Principal
Beginning January 25, Mrs. Darlene Harris will assume the responsibilities of principal at Northwood until Dr. Henry Johnson resumes his regular duties on March 1. Read the letter Dr. Johnson sent home with students in January.
Poms Competition on February 13

Admission fee: $5.00
No School on February 15
There will not be any school on Monday, February 15 due to the Presidents Day holiday. Offices and schools will be closed.
Registration Cards Due February 18
Students should have all registration cards returned to the counseling office by Thursday, February 18 for the 2010-2011 school year. View the course registration page for forms.
News From the Comedy Club at Northwood (CCAN), a Project of The Comedy Academy, Inc.

Members of CCAN performed nine comedy sketches from their repertory on Friday, January 15, 2010 at “Friends and Family Night” at the Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church. View photographs from the event and read more about CCAN. Members of CCAN will next be seen at The Randolph Road Theatre (formerly The Round House Theatre) in LAUGHING MATTERS, a comedy show featuring 20 sketches and four satirical songs on February 20, 2010.  Tickets and information call 301-681-5212.  More information at www.ourlaughingmatters.com
