In this unit students extend their knowledge of quadratic functions to quadratic relations. Students graph and apply quadratic relations whose graphs are parabolas, circles, ellipses, and hyperbolas and whose centers (or in the case of a parabola, vertices) are at the origin. Algebra 2 with Analysis students study conic sections whose centers or vertices are not at the origin, determine the standard forms of conic sections, and solve systems of non-linear equations.
