Morning Announcements - 4/14/18

Friday we talked about how Asian/Pacific Heritage Month came to be. Now, why did they chose May as the month to celebrate it? Well, in May the first Japanese immigrant came to the United States on May 7, 1843. Also, the transcontinental railroad that many Chinese immigrants worked was finished on May 10, 1896. That was the idea behind May as the month. Thank you for your attention and have a great day!
