SCHOOL STARTS AUGUST 29TH
TIME TO DO THOSE SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS
Ninth Grade Parent Night will occur on August 30th. All parents of ninth grade students are invited to Ninth Grade
Parent Night on Tuesday, August 30th from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the school's
auditorium. At this informative presentation, parents will have the opportunity
to hear from members of school leadership about expectations and opportunities for their children as they enter high school.
Churchill HS will continue to provide after school Activity Buses for students during the 2016-17 School year.Click for more details
The Churchill Counseling Department, in cooperation with two private test prep companies, is providing MOCK (practice) testing to all Churchill Students. For the low fee of $15, students have the opportunity to practice for the SAT and/or ACT. Shortly after the exam, students will receive a formal score report. Click title for details.
Results from the August 18 ASVAB will be given to students Wednesday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the College/Career Center. A specialist will explain the score reports to students. The session should last about an hour. If a student is unable to attend the interpretation session, he can pick the results up in the College/Career Center after the start of school August 29.
Seniors, If you have submitted your lunch pass form (with parent
signature) and have met the following requirements as of August 22, 2016: ALL obligations are up to date and all SSL hours have been completed- You may come into the main office of the school on Thursday, August 25, 2016 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, or on Friday, August 26, 2016 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm to pick up your lunch pass.
Churchill Counseling is partnering with a local test preparation company to provide students an opportunity to prepare for the PSAT which will be administered to juniors during the school day in October. The PSAT is the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program. The course is two classes offered in the evening of August 22 and 24. Click title for more information

Lifetouch sets up the senior portraits appointment. Lifetouch will mail a postcard home with the student’s assigned date and time. If a student cannot make the appointment, or did not receive their postcard, they need to call Lifetouch to reschedule. 1(800)445-1189.
A series of pre-college workshops is being offered August 15-23. The targeted audience is seniors who beginning the application process. Registration is required. Click the title for workshop details.
