Established in 1954, Wheaton High School serves the communities of Wheaton, Rockville and Silver Spring in Montgomery County, Maryland. A comprehensive public senior high school, Wheaton High School has a full complement of challenging academics and innovative programs including an Honors program, an Advanced Placement program, and a Freshman Academy.

Wheaton High School offers 4 Academy Programs, a Bioscience Magnet Program and an Engineering Magnet Program.
Community Breaks Ground on a New School for Wheaton High
Community leaders gathered Oct. 30 to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Wheaton High School. The revitalization/expansion project will replace the current school, which was built in 1954, and will increase the school’s capacity by more than 250 students. The new school is slated to open in 2015.
Due to the cancellation of school on Tuesday, January 27th, there will be an altered schedule next week.
