Welcome to the Woodfield Elementary School PTA Website!

One of our goals this year is to expand the use of this website to offer an additional means of communication to our community. This website is designed to provide detailed information about the PTA, its Executive Board, Committees and activities that take place throughout the school year. We are continuing to offer an “e-group” to which you can subscribe and will be used to send out notices of upcoming events in emergency situations.

Woodfield PTA is lucky to have a very involved and supportive community and we are looking forward to another great year. If you haven't already, please take a moment to join the PTA by completing the membership form sent home in your child's folder. There are also always opportunities to volunteer to support the school. Check the Committees section of this website for more information.

Woodfield PTA Mission Statement for 2007 - 2008

• To promote the welfare of the Woodfield Elementary students by providing and facilitating academic, fun and family-oriented activities which promote learning and strengthen the overall community.
• To continue to build a strong teacher-parent relationship through a spirit of cooperation and open communication.
• To continue to encourage parental involvement in all aspects of our students’ education.

PTA Meetings

The Woodfield PTA usually meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Media Center. If you have an item/topic for the agenda, please contact Cora Horst (PTA President) at least one week prior to the meeting. These meetings are OPEN to all and we encourage parents to attend and get involved!! In addition, we may have special topics meetings during the year where we will focus on specific issues that are of interest to the Woodfield School Community. There will also be two to three General PTA Meetings during the year in order to vote on budget issues and to elect officers.
