Northwest High School hosts a Financial Aid Seminar on Tuesday, October 2 at 6:30 pm. The seminar will be presented in both English (Auditorium) and Spanish (Room 251). No registration required to attend. The information presented will be most relevant to the Class of 2019. Get ConnectEd,LLC will host an Ethnic Youth College Fair for Minority Students to be held at the Tommy Douglas Conference Center (10000 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD) on Sunday, October 14 from 1 to 3:30 pm. This fair will give students an opportunity to meet with college representatives from across the country and gather pertinent information about the college process as well as plan a course of study for their designated track. The Montgomery County Student Leadership webpage has been updated with all the materials required to apply for the 2019 Maryland State General Assembly Page Program. Applications are now being accepted! Applicants must be a high school senior, at least 16 years of age, with an interest in government or history. Selected students will receive a daily stipend and will serve two nonconsecutive weeks in either the Senate or the House of Delegates. Applicants must have or obtain a Social Security number and have an average or above-average scholastic record.
