Sets forth guidance for the application, evaluation, approval, implementation, and ongoing monitoring process for public charter schools.

MCPS Regulation CFB-RA, Public Charter Schools
Establishes criteria for the evaluation of proposals for public charter schools, the principles guiding the negotiation and contracting process, and assignment of responsibility for oversight of approved public charter schools.

Promotes the highest level of ethical conduct on the part of all persons associated with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), to ensure the highest public confidence in the impartiality and independent judgment of Board of Education (Board) members and school employees, and to provide guidance for MCPS personnel concerning ethics related matters.
