Montgomery County Public Schools’ Charter Application website is intended to provide important information, dates and resources for those interested in submitting a charter school application for consideration.

Charter Applications for the 2016-2017 school year will be submitted on April 1, 2014. Watch this page for further updates.

Application Form

This application for schools that wanted to open in the 2015–2016 school year is for reference only. The application for schools that wish to open in the 2016–2017 school year will be posted in the fall.

Sets forth guidance for the application, evaluation, approval, implementation, and ongoing monitoring process for public charter schools.

Establishes criteria for the evaluation of proposals for public charter schools, the principles guiding the negotiation and contracting process, and assignment of responsibility for oversight of approved public charter schools.
