Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 Salary Increases
The Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 budget includes a step increase for eligible employees and a 1 percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for all employees* effective July 1, 2016. Employees will see the increase in their July 22, 2016 paychecks. Employees hired prior to February 1, 2016, are eligible for the July 1, 2016, step increase if they—

  • worked for five or more months between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016;
  • are not red circled;
  • are not on the top step of their current pay scale;
  • are not on class 2 certification (if a member of MCEA); and
  • are not on steps 50, 55, 60, or 65.

SEIU Members Cash Out Sick Leave for Perfect Attendance
SEIU members are eligible to cash out a portion of their sick leave if they worked the entire previous fiscal year without taking any sick leave.

  • Eligible employees must submit MCPS Form 280-36, SEIU Members Election Cash Out Sick Leave for Perfect Attendance by September 16, 2016.

Duplicate Check Fee Form (PDF)
Effective March 1, 2012, the Employee and Retiree Service Center will charge a $30.00 processing fee to duplicate any paycheck that is more than 30 days old. Submit this form to begin the process.
